We just went to the happiest place on earth! No, not Disney, but the Gulf of Mexico beach in Destin/Sandestin, FL! This was my 1st visit to the white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. I thought maybe people were exaggerating, but they are Gorgeous! The sand was so fine that it felt like sugar, the water really was crystal clear, so you could see the little sand-colored fish swimming all around. We saw dolphins swimming about 20 feet from us. The water temperature was perfect.
It rained a lot while we were there, unfortunately, but not usually when we weren't already needing to eat or kids to nap, so it worked out just fine. All of us were so happy playing in the sand and swimming in the water.
We did a lot of early morning and late night beach time because of the kids sleep schedule, which is why this sand turtle that Luke and Abby made had to be taken with a flash. The sun was down. But, it was beautiful to see the sunset.
Abby helped bury Luke in the sand, then she wanted to be buried, too :)
The view from our hotel room. I loved watching the waves crash from our window. See the clouds, which were usually looming above.
One day, we went on a dolphin cruise. The dolphins swam right up to the boat and you could see their entire bodies. There were tons of them swimming and playing together. It was really neat.
We were in our swimsuits, because we originally planned to go to the beach, but decided to switch our times for the cruise because it looked like rain later at noon. Good thing, because it started raining as we were pulling back up to dock!
They fed the seagulls off the back of the boat- tons were flying around, catching food in the air or taking it from Abby's hands. Too bad it's illegal to feed the dolphins, because that would have been really cool.
Entertainment in the car on the way home :) We all got in on the stickers. Abby liked me to put the stickers on her daddy, then take a picture to show her.

I'm so glad you got your trip! Looks like it was amazing. Bradley is getting so big!
It looks beautiful there from your pictures! Glad that the weather wasn't too bad for you. So jealous that you got to see dolphins. I would LOVE! to do that. Your kiddos look like they had lots of fun in the sand.
