Lately, it seems the only adult time we get is at work. Luke has been having some very late nights and my 1 shift a week has been crazy. The last two weekends, though, we've been able to get some dates in without the kids.
This Saturday, we had a really amazing date night, the best in...a really long time!
We went to a really nice restaurant called Houston's. The grilled artichoke appetizer was amazing, then they brought out my delicious BBQ chicken in the shape of a heart.
Then we headed to Atlantic Station, a really nice outdoor shopping area, where we wandered around waiting for the show to begin. We found a delicious ice cream place with yummy waffle cones.
Then we headed in to Cirque du Soleil. They had these huge tents all set up and one large one was for the show. It was actually really intimate feeling, even with all the people there because of the layout.
We were Amazed by this show! It was the best performance I have ever seen. We fully plan on going to more of their shows in the future, since I know they tour the country regularly. If you have never been, make an effort to go!
During intermission, I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger! We had been some of the 1st people out because we were on the outside of our row. He came by just after Luke left for the restroom. I don't know if he fully believed me. We waited until the show was just starting for him to go back to his seat. It was definitely him with all his body guards, as Luke can confirm!
BYU vs GA Tech
The Saturday before, we were able to see BYU whoop GA Tech at their homecoming game. It was really fun to be at a BYU game again. Luke had gotten tickets with a friend from work, but we ended up running into some church friends, who we spent most of the game with. It was a really beautiful day and the view was actually pretty good, despite the look of it in the picture. So fun that BYU came here, I hope they do again!
It was interesting to see how all the GA Tech fans dress up in nice clothes, like dresses and slacks/button up shirts. People said that's always how they are. Such a difference from the BYU tradition of T-shirts and jeans.
