The Friday before Thanksgiving (the night after my mom left from her visit), Luke's brother Mark and his wife Tiffany arrived with their kids. Then, Mike and Linda (Luke's parents) arrived on Wednesday. We had such a great time with everyone here. We get along really well, which is great. The cousins all had so much fun together. If only they were closer!
Abby and Susanna-both 4- absolutely Love each other. They were attached at the hip. I couldn't get enough of watching those two play.
Brad and Tate-both 2- played together, too. They were cute when they'd giggle at each other and run around. Brad really loved Bennett, since he was super sweet to Brad.
Here's the chronological long story:
I had to work the night they arrived, but Luke got them set up. Saturday morning, I slept while everyone went to a cool park near us, then to the toy store and pet store.
Sunday was church, then FHE that night. Bennett told the story of the lepers who were healed by Jesus, then we built a Thanksgiving tree with things we are thankful for.
Susanna wrote "Abby" and Abby wrote "Susanna" on their thankful leaves.
On Monday, we were supposed to go to Kangazoom very close to us, but it was shut down for repairs, so we drove a bit farther to a better place, Monkey Joe's. The kids had a blast, even Bradley, who is petrified of inflatables.
We could hardly get Abby off this one with slides to try anything else.
At least they had this for Brad to hang out on.
At the arcade part.
Monday night, we went to Centennial Olympic Park to see the lights and play on the playground.
All the (walking) kids outside the World of Coke.
Tuesday, we went the the Georgia Aquarium.
Touching Abby's favorite, the rays.
Tuesday night was Date Night! Ahh, life without children...whom we love, of course. We happened upon a pretty cool bowling alley that was like a nice restaurant. You have a server and they pick up your shoes and balls at the end.
No words...
Wednesday, we went to the pool. It was nice to pretend it was summer again. I had a blast going down the water slide and jumping off the diving board. Those were the most thrilling things I've done in a while. Ha!
Little Nathan slept in his car seat for awhile, then was held by his pregnancy sick auntie.
Mike and Linda came in that night for Thanksgiving.
Mike, the Turkey King
Bradley, the Little Turkey, mooching off Papa
The chefs of everything else
Coloring the tablecloth
Man, it turned out Fantastic! I'm proud of us.
Pie! Pumpkin, lemon meringue, apple, blueberry, and brownie.
Black Friday was shopping, of course.
Ladies took the little kids to the mall where there was a train.
The men went with Bennett and Brady to Andretti go carts.
Saturday, we went to Stone Mountain, where we got in free to ride the Sky Tram up to the top. We had never been up there. It's an awesome view.
The next day was Sunday, Nathan's baby blessing...
