Abby started Kindergarten on August 4th (so early!). She was very excited to be at the same school, First Baptist of Mableton. She has many of the same friends and is in class with a friend from a different pre-k class that she really loves. Her teacher, Miss Lana, is wonderful! She is so sweet with the kids and very on top of everything. I feel like Abby is learning so much already. Each Friday, she comes home with loads of school work she has done all week. She has 2 paper and one computer homework assignments per week, as well as reading club books. She had to read a minimum of 25 list words to get into the reading club, then she comes home with 2 new books each time she can read the last 2 to her teacher. She returns the books every 1-2 days! We are so proud of our awesome little reader.
Also, this year, we are carpooling with another girl who lives down the road from us. It is really nice because it's a 10 min each way drive to the school, which saves time and money. Abby really likes Sophie, too, so they have a lot of fun in the car... mostly listening to Frozen over and over in Sophie's car, but Abby's mom is too tired of that song!
