After my mom moved down and was living with us for a month before she closed on her new home, she watched the kids for a weekend while Luke and I went on a trip. It was the best trip we have ever had together!
We stayed in this awesome bed & breakfast called Surf Song, which was a gorgeous 110 yr old Victorian with 5 guest rooms. The owner was so friendly and a fantastic cook. The B&B was an easy walk to a beautiful, peaceful beach. It was so relaxing and wonderful.

Savannah was 30 min from our b&b. We took a bike tour of the city, which ended up being the perfect way to see it. It is so beautiful with a rich history.

This is the church where Jingle Bells was written. Can you believe it was written where they never get snow? Written by a New Englander, though.
And here was where the Girl Scouts was founded
There are 22 of these amazing squares throughout the city, full of the knotty Live Oak trees with Spanish Moss hanging from them. So cool.
Back at the beach...
We visited the Tybee Island lighthouse, which was built in 1916. We climbed the 178 stairs to the top...and oh, what a view!
On the way home, we stopped by Bonaventure Cemetery. Luke wondered what I would want to see in a graveyard, but we were both amazed at what we saw. The statues were gorgeous and the location picturesque, with the spanish moss hanging from live oaks.

This is Luke's "I'm really not going to make a funny face for you" face. But, this must be the Brothers Grimm's parents...creeeepy.
Are these headstones not cool and super creepy? I love 'em!
