For the 4th of July, we went to a place called Stone Mountain. It's a park with hiking trails and some rides and attractions. The main reason we went was to see the fireworks and laser show. The show was awesome! However, there were way too many people. We waited 1.5 hrs just to get into the park, then the lines for all of the rides we planned on were 1.5 hrs each so we didn't do those. At least the show was really neat, just not worth it.
The laser show was done to music- our favorite one was to the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia. It was hard to catch the laser show on camera, but below is the best shot I could get.

Stone mountain is basicly a huge rock with a carving of some Confederates.
There's a train that travels around the park- one of the many things we would have done if the lines weren't so long.
These are the beautiful woods found throughout the Atlanta area.

You did better than us. We watched Stadium of Fire fireworks from the Provo Library. Bad view.
