Baby Boy Bradley

Our sweet, adorable baby Bradley Michael was born on June 10th at 2:53 pm, weighing 9lb 4oz and 21" long. He is a content little guy most of the time (except when he's hungry or has the hiccups). He is becoming more aware all the time, looking around and responding happily to being talked to.
These are some pictures I took when he was 10 days old. Beware! There are Tons of pictures :)

Abby has been very sweet to her baby brother. She gives him kisses and talks to him in the sweetest way, like we do. She is very interested in him, saying things like "Bladly seep" (Bradley sleep) and talking about his hiccups, burps, and poop. There have been the occasional jealous tantrums, like a really bad one tonight where she wanted mommy to hug her and read her a book, but mommy was feeding the baby.

Now, for the birth story. I started having contractions about 3am and we headed for the hospital and dropped Abby off at our friends' place around 7am. (Thank you to the Armstrongs for watching her one day and the Rogers for watching her 3 days!) I walked around laboring for a while, my water got broken, I got an epidural, and a small amount of pitocin. Once I was complete, I pushed for less than 10 minutes and was surprised to see such a big baby!

Abby came to visit later that day. She was a little worried about everything and scared of me for some reason. But, she did eventually take a little interest in Bradley before heading back to our friends' house.

Poor Bradley ended up for a 2 day stay in the NICU with Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn, basically rapid breathing that resolves on its own. Abby actually had the same thing.

Abby has been having fun swinging in the baby swing :) She also has been having fun just hanging out with both parents and her Nana who has come to help for a week.
