1st Camping Trip

We took the kids camping for the first time on Friday night. The ward had set up an annual camping trip, so we decided to give it a try. We hadn't been camping in 5 years- much different than my annual camping trips growing up. The kids both definitely loved it! They loved the flashlights, eating outdoors, the tent, the great outdoors, etc.
Abby said, "I'm scared" a few times, then said things would protect her, like her flashlight and sleeping bag. She did really well with it all, including sleep.
Bradley, while he loved all the awake time, he did not do well sleeping in the tent. He just wanted to play for a while, so Luke eventually took him to the car and strapped him in where he slept for a little while, then woke up and Luke held him in the car until he fell back to sleep. Luke brought him back to the tent sound asleep, but that didn't last. The entire rest of the night consisted of a baby in our air bed squirming and fussing and kicking us in the face. Worst Sleep Ever. However, we still woke up in the morning Happy because we were sleeping in a tent with the fresh morning air in our lungs and the songs of happy birds in the forest. Oh, how I Love to Camp!
Luke was lucky enough to be friends with Raul, who traded his Kentucky Fried Chicken to Luke for a hot dog. Way to rough it, right?
These kids have been extra cute together lately! They play so well and are great little buddies.
